Sunday 5th May in Review

Good day today.  Nice Sunday morning sleep in.  Caught up with my niece Emily & my Bro over at mums.  Here's the day in review:

Lifestyle, Health & Fitness
Exercised, ate an apple, a tub of yoghurt and drank 2 water bottles.

Jumped on the treadmill this morning and walked 5k's - 2 units.   Todays music choice was Good Charlotte's 'The Young and the Hopeless'.  Love this punk rock band, but not so much the KFC ad's they appear in.

Made Cottage Pie for dinner.  Nothing like comfort food on a cool Melbourne evening.  David cut a nice big chunk of fresh cobb bread to accompany the Cottage Pie.  Only had one slice though.

Business & Hobby
Catalogued 10 Stampin' Up! stamp sets for my Stampin' Up! Repository software - 2 units.

What makes me Smile?
My bro in law Andrew posted these face bomb photo's on Facebook today of David's mum, dad & niece Eloise.  Laughed so hard I had tears streaming done my face.  My fav is the last photo, I luv how Eloise's fringe appears on Martin's face.  These photo's are priceless!

Saturday 4th May in Review

I'm pretty happy with my achievements today.  Here's the day in review:

Lifestyle, Health & Fitness
Exercised, ate an apple and tub of yoghurt, drank 2 water bottles and have committed to changing 1 unhealthy eating habit.

Jumped on the treadmill this morning and walked 5k's.  Took just over 1 hour.  Now don't judge me, but the album I listened to was the Best of the Backstreet Boys.  What girl doesn't love luvey dovey songs (in moderation)?

Early afternoon, David & I went to our local shopping centre to run some errands.  David stopped at the Chinese Fast Food outlet to grab a spring roll.  I was standing about 1 metre away from the counter when the lady looked at me and asked if I wanted a Curry Puff today.  Ha Ha Caught Out!   David looked at me in surprise knowing that I run to the local shopping centre almost every day.  Now I must admit that I don't buy a Curry Puff every day, I buy two!   Only kidding, it's more like every second day.  That being said, this is the unhealthy eating habit that I am committed to change and my blush moment for the day.  No more curry puffs for me.

Declutter & Clean
Cleaned the left toy box in the Rumpus Room. As you can see I have quite a collection of plush toys.  During my younger years I use to collect plush toys, especially from the ABC Shop.  My fav collection would be Beatrix Potter.

Business & Hobby
Catalogued 10 Stampin' Up! stamp sets for my Stampin' Up! Repository software.  This activity took a little longer than expected because I was watching 'The Watch' at the same time, so didn't get to work on compiling the data for my Stampin' Up! Repository.  Will carry this over to tomorrow.

Blogging
Posted the Cat & Dog sympathy cards to my paper ribbon scissors blog.

The name behind the Blog

Do you sometimes find that at the end of a day you didn't achieve what you wanted to?

OH YAYS!

From today, I'm going to plan my days based on 'Units' of time.  The idea came from the 'About a Boy' movie starring Hugh Grant in his role as Will:

I find the key is to think of a day as units of time, each unit consisting of no more than thirty minutes. Full hours can be a little bit intimidating and most activities take about half an hour. Taking a bath: one unit, watching countdown: one unit, web-based research: two units, exercising: three units, having my hair carefully disheveled: four units. It's amazing how the day fills up, and I often wonder, to be absolutely honest, if I'd ever have time for a job; how do people cram them in?

I figure that if I set daily/weekly goals for myself in 'units', then I have a better chance of getting done what I need to and I'll have a greater sense of achievement at the end of each day/week.  I will commit to mapping out my daily/weekly goals via this blog and will provide daily postings (when possible).

Simples,
Sue.
